Out of the Connaught’s Administration ashes could rise many new Property Services Businesses

Property services giant Connaught enters administration putting thousands of jobs at risk and creates a worrying time for staff, share holders, customers and suppliers, many of whom will be owed large sums.

Bluestone Computing Ltd is a supplier of software and services to members of the Connaught group and is relieved to say that we have very little exposure.

There are going to be some hard times ahead for so many families that have direct and indirect links to Connaught but with most of the work being key activities that has to be performed, hopefully the effects will be short lived.

In business we normally try to find new opportunities that can rise out of the ashes of disaster. Many of the large contacts will be taken up by other market leaders or absorbed back into councils but it is quite likely, as a result of the failure, there will be more work available for existing small to medium businesses with many new businesses also being created.

Bluestones “Property Services” simple to use software may be exactly what these business need. With its direct links to Sage 50 and 100 it maintains records of all orders and can automatically bill based on a variety of fixed price and / or work done and materials used. With its scheduling, remote workers features, reporting and billing in Sage, it makes the perfect software partner for both start ups and expanding property services businesses.
